I am 15 and really interested in taking up swimming. I want to start taking lessons and getting into competitions as soon as I am ready. All I am worried about is tho, Is it worth? I know alot of swimmers start when they are young so everybody else would have the advantage.

  1. no i started swimming competivley in my freshamn year in high school. and im a softmore and im getting great times. just practice hard and you will get up there trust me. it takes a lot of hard work and dedication. i had to swim this whole summer and it sure did pay off.

  2. I am a 21yo college student and i'm hoping to start, it's never too late

  3. its never too late.

  4. Swimming is so much fun and you'll love it i am sure. 15 is not late at all i started when i was 7, but it doesn't matter! Most summer swimming ends when you are 18, but you can do that and swim in high school till your 18, then join a college team! They also have leagues for adults. 15 is NOT too late and i know you'll enjoy it so much!! SO GO FOR IT!! =)

  5. It's never too late to start anything in life. You're 15, not 50. If you want to do swimming, go for it. If you have enthausiasm, you will excel in it.

  6. No way!

If you are a brill swimmer, go for it!

Hope you do well at your competitions!

  7. It's always worth chasing after your dreams. 15 may seem a little old to begin swimming compared to the other kids who's parents trained them since 8, but it doesn't matter. As long as you have the commitment and strong will to be better than the rest, you will succeed in becoming one of the best swimmers. It all depends on how much effort and practice you put into swimming that decides the ultimate winner at the end of a competition, not the age.
