Alright, please don't call me stupid or anything, I just need a bit of help. I absolutely have to get to school today, it's very important. I've got a football game and practice, and I can't let my team down, and I have a LOT of school work that I have to do, since theres only a few days of school left.

Problem is, I have no way of getting to school, save for one. I own my own car, but it has no licence plates, I've got no insurance, and my drivers licence isin't with me right now (though I still have the document I received in the mail saying I can drive, it's expired though)

I have one licence plate, but it's for a trailer (so it says trailer on it, but I can paint over that) and it has no sticker (but I can make a sticker) and I have an expired travel permit. Also, the law in my area says you need 2 plates, but all I have is one.

Should I risk driving to school? I'm really at odds with myself here.

  1. No.

  2. It's one of those things that can be life changing. IF something happens and someone gets hurt, your life will forever be one of owing money to the victim(s family) and quite possibly years and years of jail time.

Don't don't don't do it. Your permit is expired. You're using false plates and you have no insurance. Are you seriously thinking about the MASSIVE consequences you're getting yourself into?

Dont ruin your life over this. It's stupid!!!!!!!!!

Call a cab!! If your team is sooooooo great, call a buddy to pick you up! Plenty of choices. HIKE and grab a bus. Hitch a ride. The list goes on.

  3. I would try it for one day. Straight there straight back. But if your friends can give you a ride, i'ld go with them.

  4. How do you usually get to school?  Don't you have any friends that you could catch a ride with.  Wouldn't one of your teammates or coach be willing to pick you up?  What about your parents.  You can risk it, but I wouldn't.

  5. Absolutley not!  That would be illegal, and if you would happen to get into an accident, your fault or not then you would be responsible because you have no insurance and no licenses, that's not expired.  Call relatives, maybe mention you were thinking about driving, tell them how important it is for you to get to school, if all else fails call your friends, coach or even a teacher, how about a store-owner that would be going to town around the same time.  Even if you got there late, would be better than making this mistake which could effect you for the rest of your life.  Be smart!
