Is it too early to leave my job?

I've been at my job for 3 months now(entry-level, after college job at a firm). I'm not really enjoying it and I probably won't be seeing too much growth here. Is it too early to leave? I've dabbled w/ the job search and might begin looking elsewhere soon.

  1. It won't hurt to be looking elsewhere while keeping your present job. Any employer worth working for will understand the "round peg in a square hole" problem. Given the present employment situation, don't leave without something else lined up unless the mental abuse starts affecting your life outside work.

  2. I say if you don't like it don't do it.  Just make sure you have a means to support yourself before you call it quits.  It would be wise to leave on the best terms possible though.  Companies invest a lot of time and money in hiring someone new so you at least owe them a respectable exit.  Good luck to you.

  3. NO, it's never too early to do something that makes you happy.  Just don't leave this job until you find a new one, and make sure you give this job proper notice that you are leaving.

If you are fresh out of college, it's perfectly acceptable to keep searching for employment until you find something suitable for yourself.  It's just not good to be out of school for a very long time, but still job hopping.  Potential employers usually don't like that, but like I said, you are fresh out of school, so you owe it to yourself to make sure you are in a job thats happy.

You don't spend all of that money and time in college just to make an employer happy.  The whole purpose is to make yourself happy, and you will never find happiness in a job that you don't like, especially if there is no room to grow.

    Good Luck

  4. Yes...it's too early. You need to stay there for at least 6 months. So just hang in there for another 3 months and then leave.
