Is it too late for a person over 25 to get into the entertainment business?

It's not too late, but unless you are extremely talented and have a cache of believers in you and in your talent, it can be very, very difficult.  I have known many artists to take years off in order to be more acceptable.  Music buyers tend to be in the 14-21 age group.  What style of music are you involved in? That plays a part as well.

NO!!!!  I think it doesn't matter now a days.....  with all these reality shows and talent competitions I'd say you have just as well of a fair shot as anyone else...  Get a nice portfolio together and work real hard and you'll get there!!!  Good Luck to You!
