  1. Actually it sounds like your timing is perfect.  At 16 your just starting, good luck.

  2. No, Its not to late to do anything if you try hard anough my uncle Vlad turned pro when he was 25 and he hadnt stepped into a ring intil he was 20, he was  a Karate black- belt. But after his first fight he got in a car wreck and then got married and never went back to boxing. But he knocked the guy out in the first round. So try you never know theyres plenty of boxers that turn pro late espiaclly on the contender theyres like 3 of them that are 28. If that doesnt work out theyres MMA. Tell me how it works out

  3. No my sons 17 and started about 2 years ago.  He is amateur at the moment,  Never to late to start anything!!!

  4. Not too many kickboxers have transfered succesfully over to boxing, but their have been a few and at 16 you have plenty of time to work on your boxing. Im my opinion 16 is a good age. But in the end only you yourself know weather its too late. Age really is not the factor in becoming a good boxer, it all has to do with amature expereince.

Heres a huge tip, you wont find in most boxing textbooks, When your sparring forget about  looking good. Instead work on your defence and weaknesses, use the ropes, get a good feel for the ring and how you can use the corners, the ropes, and the mat. Sparring is for learning not for winning.
