I know how good you have to be to play on a college tennis team. I know usually, for division 1 teams, players must be like a 5.5 or 6.0 in NTRP. Right now, I'm 15 years old. I'm a strong 4.0 or so in NTRP. I haven't been playing many tournaments. I've played in 3 so far, but this year, I have lots of free time, so I am planning on playing a tournament every month. Also, I am hitting with my coach twice a week. I really love tennis, and I'm willing to work really hard at it. But can I still play division 1 college tennis? Or even division 2 college tennis?

  1. You may be able to make the team at a terrible school for D1, or maybe play for an average D2 school.  Sounds like Division 3 is right up your alley though.

  2. absolutely, id call some schools that you would like to go to, and get them to come watch you play, just got to make sure you get your name out there, and play good in the tournaments you enter.

  3. You can do anything if you want it bad enough.
