  1. I'm almost 14 and actually, I am having my first lesson tommorow!!! I am so excited and I mean I have a LONG ballet background but I'm sure you'll be great. We will learn faster than the children that start when they are 3 so yep!! Good luck and have fun!

  2. Nope! I'm 15 and I just started skating classes in January! And at my rink there's a teen and adult class which usually isn't too crowded so it's really awesome because you get a lot of good instruction! Plus I think that being 15, we progress a lot faster than the really little kids. :)

    Good luck!

  3. It's never too late to do anything.

  4. never too late to learn a new skill

  5. its never to late to do anything

  6. well its not too late to learn how to figure skate. however if you are planning on becoming a competative skater then im sorry but yes, it probably is a little late to start. im 13 and i have been competative skating for 9 years and let me tell you it wasnt as easy at it seems. if you are simply looking for a new hobby or getting exercise then i say go for it!

  7. you can start when ever you want

  8. Dude, of course not!! your age is just a number and cant gauge the size of your hope and determination. You know what they say, that it's never too late to start something. If you want to learn, than get going!! :) Seize the day!! Your age can't gauge the size of your hope and determination.

  9. Nope. At a my old rink, and 69 year old started the learn to skate classes, and she did well.

So your 15, if a 69 year old can do it, whats stopping you? lol.

Just go for ir, even though you wont be in the olympics, its still fun to do and you can compete on your own level.

    Good Luck!

  10. You are definately not too old!

I started skating when I was 15, and now 2 years later .. I'm learning all of my doubles, and I only skate november - the end of march, because thats when my rink is open.

You may not go to the olympics - as I won't go to the olympics

BUT! there is a good chance that you're going to do really well and do better than the younger people in your age because your body and mind is more mature, there fore you have a better chance of learning and catching on to things quicker. After two years you may not be landing doubles, I'm not even sure how I'm doing it :|... But if you have passion, determination and will power to figure skate and do well, you'll be landing axels in no time, hopefully! :)

  11. It is never to late to learn anything new. There are people in their 60's 70's and even 80's that are learning how to skate.

  12. If u r doing it for fun then no it is suprisingly easy and pretty much just like roller skating/blading.

If u r doing it professionally it might take u a while to catch up as opposesd to those who started at a younger age.

  13. 'it's never too late to seek a newer world'

  14. iz neva 2 l8 i started snoboardin when i was 13 n im prty normal @ it

  15. Only if you lost both of your legs, of course not.

  16. No!!!!!!!

I started when i was 15, but didn't even care if i was older then some skaters, its what i wanted to do, and it made me happy so i went for it. And i dont regreat it at all. I have been skating for a year, and passed 13 levels, just going into Freestlye 1. :)

    Go for it!

  17. It's not too late for you to LEARN, however, you shouldn't have expectations of going to the olympics as most girls are ready for the Olympics at 15

  18. Of course not! I say go for it. Who knows... you could catch on really quickly and be amazing at it! If you have a passion for it, don't let anyone talk you out of it. It could be a talent you never knew you had.

  19. not at all! i started when i was 11 and still am =]

  20. It's never too late!!!...

I used to teach figure skating...many of my students were adults who either were learning for the first time, or hadn't skated since they were kids...so go out there & have fun...look into your local rink for lessons...group lessons for beginners are a great place to start!!!

  21. Course, it's not too late. Go for it!!

  22. Add another decade to your age . . . that's when I learned how to figure skate!  I got to my doubles . . . competed and "performed" . . . if I did it, certainly you will go even further - and faster - starting much younger than me!  It's definitely not too late!!!

  23. I use to work at a ice arena and have seen many at your age start skating lessons for the first time.

  24. I read this question thinking you were going to be about 80 years old...

I was still going to say go for it.. of course you're not too old, if you have a passion for something you should pursue it!!
