im 17, and im going into my senior year. last semester everyone in my junior year class took their SAT'S. I never bothered to sign up because I was really depressed because I was diagnosed with cancer and I thought " why try? i wont live that long anyway".

I regret having that attitude because i've now developed such a positive outlook now and im trying to start things again.

does anyone know if its too late for me to sign up for the sat's ? or does anyone know a online website on how I can do so?

serious answers are very greatly aprecciated.

thank you and much love to you all.

  1. I'm sorry for what you've been through but it's great your picking it up again. To answer your question...No it's not too late. If you're applying to any early program for college, the last SAT you can take is Nov. and if you're applying regular for college, the last SAT is January (for most schools--check just to be absolutely sure though). Set up an account on www.collegeboard.com and "register for the SAT." I'd recommend to study your butt of this summer and take it in October...if you don't like your score, take it again in December. However, if you want to go to a college that requires SAT subject tests too, you need to rethink this schedule b/c you can't take SAT I and subject tests in the same sitting. You can check and search for colleges at www.collegeboard.com as well.

Hope this helps and good luck to you.

  2. yes most of them the peolple take the SAT in their junior years so u can get over with it and start thinking about something else like college

  3. it is never too late to take the sat, my sister can help prepare you for your tests at true potential academics

    her site is http://www.tpacademics.com

she is a harvard grad, has an ma in education from cgu, and is finishing her mba at usc

she can also help you write your college essays

sounds like you have had a large ordeal with your cancer, I believe she can help you prepare for you next step in life

my cousin had hodgkins disease while he was finishing his degree. he did his chemo, and is now in remission. He is currently an architect now. He was like in his teen years when he got sick.

  4. Nope it's not too late. Good for you for developing a positive outlook :)

I'm probably doing mine in October. You won't be the only senior, I now half my friends are retaking it in October. That's what I'm doing. I got an 1800 but I'm aiming a bit higher. So yeah.. good luck! Check the dates here:

  5. Yes! You can still take the SAT, but you need to sign up ASAP. Go to www.collegeboard.com, you can sign up there. I have students that have waited until the spring of their senior year to take their SAT (I wouldn't procrastinate that long though). Best of luck to you!

  6. The earliest SAT Reasoning and Subject test is on October (4th, I think).  So if you take it then and study now, then you'll be all set.  Since you are in the optimistic stage, seriously, study to make up for the lagging.

Go to www.collegeboard.com to sign up.  It's not too late for you

  7. There's no age limit to taking the SAT and ACT. So go ahead if you want to take them.
