Is it too late in the season to buy a bike?

I live in MN and can finally afford the bike I want. It is my first bike and I am not sure if it is worth getting it in late August?

i bought last weekend and i'm further north than you... but then again, i ride in the snow, depends on how bad you want it

i find feb is the best month to buy, people broke from xmas need money quick

It is never to late the fact of the matter is the colder it is the better deal you can get. because you can get a used bike that only has a few 100 miles on it w/ a warranty still on it some times. The only down side is you may have to wait a few to ride it

Its never too late and like the other poster said wait till its cold and you can find better deals. Kinda like buyin a wood stove in June.

well its never to late u might not get the summer deals like u normally would but u can still get 1

its not too late. Actually, you'll get a much better deal during the winter time since their sales will go WAYYYY down. Just make sure you have a place to store it during the winter and use a bike cover to cover it. Make sure you research or ask what you need to do to the bike before you store it. Hope you get it! I use to live in Minnesota too.. miss that place =(

I dont know about up there but down here the prices go down in winter due to nobody wanting a bike... I ride year round. I got my bike in january and paid just half of the price they were wanting for it. Good luck

Depends on how Tough You are. I know Guys up there that ride almost any time there is not Snow and Ice on the road. If You intend to retire the bike when the Temp gets under 45* I suggest You save Your money and try to pick up a great deal  this Winter.
