Is it too late to apply to a school?

I mean, do I still have time?

One school I applied to about 6 months ago mailed me saying that my placement test wasnt competitive enough or whatever. and the other one I applied to told me during my interview that once someone left the school, I would be officially accepted - and I think this school starts tomorrow. So, should I apply to another one? Is it too late?

I really do understand your predicament, but have you thought about attending a public school, where you're not rated, simply accepted and taught?  It may not be as competitive as you want, but it will still be a good education both in a scholarly manner and in experience, seeing as you have been home schooled for quite some time.
