  1. dont see why not, although its a lot of money to borrow at that age i guess?

my mate just started (23) and its costs him 80k for minimum training.

  2. most pilots are 40  plus  in age and i know of many on their 60s

  3. If you have the goods which airlines are looking for then you still can go for it. I'm talking about leadership, hand eye coordination, decision making skills, etc. There are many people, some even older than yourself, who decide to have a career change. Lots of doctors, lawyers and even policemen have made the decision. You still have over 30 years of service in you and with your age you bring maturity. The current retirement age is 65 (recently increased from the old 60 mark).

If you have the money then start to look around at training schools. I assume you are from the UK. If so then look at Oxford, CTC Mcalpine and Flight Training Europe.

If you have anymore questions, feel free to message me. Good luck.

  4. No.

    65.

  5. Its never too late

the thing is though, be prepared to be junior to younger captains. its just a self-pride thing

  6. i don't think so...there are a lot of pilots who start at 30....

  7. It is NEVER to late to learn about anything,,plus your only 30 you have alot of years ahead of you,,go for it and good luck love

  8. No its not. However, you may not get a chance to get into the majors (international) because they prefer younger pilots - so they can get the most return out of them. If you think from a business perspective, it makes sense.

  9. 30 is a great age. Airlines prefer older, experienced people. But the point you've made about retirement made me think, im not too sure what age they will continue to let you work.. Cos obviously older people are more prone to health difficulties and if it happened mid-air, well then theres problems.. hmm..

I'd definitely look into it more thoroughly, i think it would be a great job but you dont want to become qualified and then only have like 10 years to fly...

Well good luck with everything anyway =)

  10. Dont wait phone a Airline company today and found out as l have know idea as not many people will.

    Good luck !!

  11. there is no maximam age and if its whta you want to do then go ahead and do it

if whish you luck for in the future
