It's something I haven't done since I was 17. I've spent the past 9 years being a coke fiend. The biggest hurdle for me would be the apprehension of walking back into the gym for the first time in so many years. It being full of kids and starting up. I'm so unfit and I'd knock myself out from exhaustion rather than punches. Thing is I know I'm pretty good. I punch like a light heavy and would aim to box at light middle.

  1. who cares what your past was or how long ago you boxed !it dosent make a difference . just go back in dat ring work hard and make sure you bomb em!! you need to do alot of skipping and runing m8. cus ur stamina seems to be at a poor rate so it also should help you to loose weight and become more fit. good luck!

  2. After being a coke fiend, h**l you are only two or three knockouts from being in a coma.   So you wont know the difference.

  3. I think that I can help you.  It is never too late to make a fresh start.  You are 25 and have a lot of life to live.  I say if you want to become a boxer, then go for it!  It will take a lot of hard work but you will make it. Also,if you want to pursue this, you must try to stay away from drugs and those who sell them.

  4. I know a couple of fighters who have picked up the gloves late in the day and have gone on to have good pro careers. One is still fighting now at the age of 31 and has recently been beaten for the first time, he done a couple of years as an amateur and signed pro in early 2005 so he started later than you and the other one was a bit of a streetfighter who built his reputation on the street walked into a gym around the age of 22 or 23 and turned pro 6 months later, he went on to fight for a world title during his distinguished career in which he held domestic titles here in the UK and he was still fighting when he was nearly 40.

So yes if you have the desire and can commit fully to the sport you can still make it at your age, dedication is the key so staying away from the drugs and other things that can sidetrack you are essential, Good Luck.
