  1. Not at all!  It's never too late to take your tests and move up levels.  There aren't any age restrictions on the levels.  At age 21 in the US, you can test and compete as an adult and in the adult track, but even then you can still test the standard track too.  :)

  2. It's NEVER to late. but...

What are your long term goals?

Would you be happy to just go to regionals?

Do you want to make it to Nationals or the Olympics?

    Or

Do you want to just have fun.

If you want it all and shoot for the stars and your parents have big bucks you'll need to skate at least  5 days a week or more, and at least 2 hours or more a day.  Your private lesson should be at least 20-30 minutes daily with moves in the field lessons 2x a week for 15-20 minutes. That's just the minimum you'll need. Then you'll need  off ice jumps and some ballet lessons  at least once a week for each.  And even after all that it's not 100% that you'll go any where.

There's a lot of luck and natural talent which is 50% of the game.

Very competitive girls in pre-juv will most likely have all there double jumps, the average competitive pre-juv girl will have at least up to double loop or flip and an axel,2x loop combination.

You can always be a test skater and test all the way to your senior level. USFS does  have a test track competitive program which is great if you want to just have fun or can't afford the expensive route.

At the least, you should be skating at least twice a week for an hour, but the more you can skate the   better you become.

I'm sorry for rambling on. I gave you more information then you wanted.

Again, it's never to late! GO FOR IT!

  3. No. I started at 11 too,and now I have all my doubles and am planing to go to regionals this fall. I am 13 now. I don't know if you watch skating, but if you do you have probably heard of Johnny Weir. He was in the Worlds, nationals, and I think the Olympics. He didn't start till he was 12! So go for it,it's never too late to do what you love!

  4. its not too late! just practice practice practice and you'll make it there in no time! i started when i was around 10 and i've come pretty far! so my advice for you is to just keep practicing and just try your best and you'll do great! (:

  5. first of all if you really enjoy and love skating it shouldn't matter how advanced you are. and no it's never too late. just practice your butt off and really put your heart and soul into it, it'll come easily if you do
