Is it too late to file for FAFSA for 08-09?

After my first year of school I thought I was going to take a year off, leave the state (KY), and migrate to a large city and live for a while.

I've recently decided I want to go back to school. Is it too late to file for financial aid? If not, how much funds will I lose out on since I've waited so long?

If the school you want to go to is willing to accept your late FAFSA, then hurry up and complete it! NOW.

As far as funds go, once again, it depends on the school you want to go to. Talk to an admissions/financial aid counselor and they should be able to give you all of the information you need.

Federal aid pell and loans are guaranteed no matter how late you file. But other federal and local grants are very limited.  Just file your fasfa now.
