Is it too late to get any financial aid?

I know the deadline was in late June. Is there a late filing option? Or is it possible to get a private loan? Are those any good or are they pretty much a scam? I feel so silly about missing the deadline, but any advice would be helpful from someone who knows the system. Thanks.

Just get it done as soon as possible.  Most schools put that deadline in place because they run out of aid money quickly.

The deadline in late June was for the 07-08 school year which is almost over. If you are attending in the 08-09 school year, then that deadline is June 30th of 2009.

no not to late-you basically have up until the semester starts-i did it late last year-like three weeks before a semester and got it no problems-but your best option is to call the schools financial aid office and speak to one of their counselors

No it's not too late... the deadline is NEXT June (2009), not this June.  But you had better hurry or you might not get everything processed in time before your school starts wanting their money.
