  1. no i don't think so! my neice got homeschooled her last year of high school because she had such anxiety that she couln't go to school!  she's doing very well being home schooled & she socializes with other home schooled kids with the same issue!

  2. No, it's really easy for Californians, and you can pull out of school at any time of the year.

You need to file a private school affidavit (PSA) and that's it.   When you have thought of a your *school name* just have your mom or dad go to the school and request to have your files transferred to the new school.

You and your parents can work out the various ways to homeschool and what suits you.

Contact HSC of California, here's their contact list:

    http://www.hsc.org/countycontacts.html

The local contacts will help you understand your options, which are many.  They can also guide you through the filing of a PSA.  You just missed our state convention last week right in Sacramento!

  3. No it is never too late.

  4. Nope, it's not too late! :D Check out the A-Z site for LOTS of information on how to get started! http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/

We pulled our son out of public school when he was in the middle of seventh grade and haven't looked back since! (He'd be considered a high school junior this year.)

  5. No, it is never too late to start being home schooled. But be careful, especially if you want to attend college later.

  6. Nope! I home school and I started in the middle of the year I think. Anyways, I'm in high school and with American School they give you 4 years to complete all of the subjects, regardless of when you start.

  7. No, it isn't too late. I'm a high school senior and I'm getting home schooled. I don't like the school system where I'm at right now.

  8. No, it's not too late. I run an umbrella school for homeschoolers and accept new students throughout the school year.

  9. Nope...there's no such thing as being too late. Just have your mom go to the school with you tomorrow. Transfer you to the homeschooled department of board of ed. and then from there go to the Board of Education to get everything set up. You don't have to do it all in one day but you can.

  10. No, it's not too late.  I pulled my son 3 days after the school year started (5 years ago).  If your parents agree that you can be homeschooled, you just need to follow whatever the regs are for your state.

If you can let us know which state you live in, we can give you links to the specific laws.  Each state has their own laws and regs, and it's important that you follow them, but it's never to late in the year to start homeschooling.

  11. never to late i started during the middle of mine last year! act fast and talk with your parents though
