Question:

Is it too late to get into superbike racing professionally?

I'm 21 years old. I have been riding sport bikes and dirt bikes for about 3 years. I have never taken my street bike to a track so I have no experience other than having a motorcycle as my only transportation for the past 3 years. I know that to consider being professional at anything like this most people start at a very young age. Also, I know that "anything is possible", but is it realistic? Where can I get more information on how to get started in racing?

Thanks

  1. I stopped reading at             " I'm 21............. "

The answer my friend is, yes.

If you have not been signed by the time you are about 8 / 9 years old, you are almost to late.

The only real talent I can think of in the last 20 years to good work " late " was Max Biaggi, but he was still signed at 14.

14 is old in racing terms. You need to be wining the MotoGP academy by 14 these days.

  2. definatley too late to go pro and race. 1 out of every 788 people go pro.
