  1. yes it is to late I'm afraid. But you can apply for next semester, you usually have to do these things pretty early.

  2. It is not too late to submit a FAFSA for financial aid.  Some items (usually state funds or campus funds-work study) may have run out,  but Federal PELL  and Student Loans are still available. You may have to pay all of your school expenses up front, but you can still file and receive aid if you are eligible.

  3. No, it's not too late, and people who don't know for sure shouldn't guess. I mean, I can see why some people might THINK it's too late, but it's not.

If you complete the FAFSA form now, you can still qualify for Pell Grants and Stafford loans. Remember, Pell Grants are only available to applicants with "exceptional" need, but Stafford loans are available to anyone who is not in jail, in default on previous student loans, or who was not recently convicted of a drug offense.

The fact that you can still GET a Pell or a Stafford loan doesn't mean that they will come quickly. It is highly likely that you would need to pay your semester charges out of pocket, and wait for your school to reimburse you when your late-arriving financial aid comes in.

The people who told you that it is "too late" are somewhat correct, in that it is too late for several other forms of financial aid - some of the federal aid programs, and probably all of the state and institutional aid programs. Next year's FAFSA will be available soon after January 1, 2009, and the students who want to qualify for the most possible aid apply as soon as they can after the new year's FAFSA becomes available. Get your taxes done early, and get your FAFSA done well before the "priority" aid deadlines.

Good luck to you - I hope this helped.

  4. Unless it's second semester of '08-'09, it is too late.

  5. Im pritty sure, but states are differant so call your schools finacial aid office quick to find out!

  6. no its not late . i did mine today it normally takes like 2 to 3 weeks but in these days its much faster and i got my done in hours . you should have done it long time ago but you can apply . You'll have  to ask the representatives favor and request them toi do it fast.

DONT give up let see if it IS too late even then apply now for next semester . GOOD LUCK
