Is it too late to neuter a 2 year old cat?

I have a cat and I hate it when he goes away when he's in heat. I'm not sure if there is an age limit to neutering.

No, two is not too old at all. If he was 8 or 9 yrs. I'd say maybe, but two is just fine to get him done! I am sure you will see such great

changes with him afterward, so do not hesistate! It also will help

the amount of homeless and stray cats we already have too

much of! He won't want to wander as much afterward! Good luck!

Your problem is just like mine. And my cat is 3 years old. And guess what I just neuter him yesterday. The vet seem have no problem doing it and my cat look Ok and healthy today.

So.. for 2 years cat.. it's will be OK.

There's no age limit! As long as your cat doesn't have a serious medical problem, he'll be fine.

Ghislain... is wrong,males do become aggresive when its time.they meow like crazy.yes you can have them neutered anytime like the rest said.

cat's can be neutered at any age but after neutering they can become fat ask your vet how to make sure this doesn't happen

Nope.  Cats and dogs can be neutered at any age.  A lady in my office breeds dogs, and once they're done their breeding 'career' she spays or neuters them and either rehomes them or keeps them as pets herself.

No, it is not too late to neuter him.

I have rescued two adult male cats in the past that I estimated could have been as young as 3 years old and maybe as old as 5.  I had both of them neutered and both did just fine.

The neuter surgery is routine, quick and uncomplicated.  When you make his appointment, you will take him in for surgery in the morning and he should be ready to go late that afternoon.

No animals can be neuterd anytime it is better when younger. you just need the Testicles to be big enough.

The only limitation for spay/neuter is health problems. If your cat is healthy then he can be neutered. Don't delay. You will both be happier!

Boys don't come into heat, that's girls. Boys go after girls that are in heat. But yes, I should get him neutered, and no it's not too late.

They suggest when a cat is 6 months but we have brought ours over at ages 5, 7, 8 for neutering. So don't worry go ahead and have it done.
