  1. I agree..EVERY scientist? That's ABSURD!  What about John Coleman who FOUNDED the WEATHER channel and has been in meteorology for over 20 years?  Are you telling me that Al Gore should be listened to over Mr. Coleman?  That's why I sleep better at night is because of John Coleman who has filed a lawsuit against Al Gore for fraud so he will have to EXPLAIN himself under OATH and won't be able to hide behind PRO-Manmade Global Warming media outlets!

Why the h**l haven't we heard anything about Global Warming all winter here in North America when we have had one of the coldest recent winters?

I'd like you people to think about a few things..

    1. The planet is estimated to be roughly 4.5 BILLION years old! Yes BILLION, and we have been keeping weather records for about 150 years, and that's a very liberal estimate. Why does no one seem to care that there have been several ICE AGES that have come ond gone all BEFORE the invention of the combustion engine and the development of Fossil Fuels. Does it seem sane to predict what will happen in the next 3 hours by studying the last 1/100,000th of a second?

    2. Since we have been sending probes to the planet MARS the temperatures there have risen almost the same as earth. hmmmm....Maybe it has something to do with our orbit and that GIGANTIC ball of FIRE that keeps us from turning into a giant float sphere of ice? NAhhh...Couldn't be.

    3. There are THOUSANDS of scientists that disagree with the theory of manmade global warming, but their voices are quelled by the "religion of Environmentalism" saying that they are just on the payroll of the oil companies when there is no proof of that.

    4. Why will Al Gore not debate ANYONE who disagrees with him and his theory? He will only appear on media outlest that fully, 100% support his point of view.

    5. We need to eliminate this evil carbon dioxide. Ummmmm, i'm not a botanist, but I seem to remember that trees and plants and the like NEED Carbon Dioxide to survive. Carbon dioxide is produced by all animals, plants, fungi and microorganisms during respiration and is used by plants during photosynthesis. This is to make sugars which may either be consumed again in respiration or used as the raw material for plant growth. It is, therefore, a major component of the carbon cycle. Carbon dioxide is generated as a byproduct of the combustion of fossil fuels or vegetable matter, among other chemical processes. Inorganic carbon dioxide is output by volcanoes and other geothermal processes such as hot springs.

I could go on all day. This is NUTS. IF the planet is going to go through a warm cycle we need to do what people have ALWAYS done, Adapt. Otherwise we might as well start sacraficing virgins to the sun god to not make it so hot. everyday I am mystified that HUMAN BEINGS think they can CHANGE the weather.

I fully support conservationism and reducing the c**p we put into the earth, but when you start telling me that we HAVE to give money to other countries to offset CARBON? Insane.

My daughter is waking up, but that's a start to keep you thinking. I should start a campaign the says "Remember the Wooly mammoth and the Sabre tooth Tiger, Global Warming caused their extinction!!!!"

  2. there might be time...

i belive its humans were just doing so much at a very expensive price...hopefully im wrong...

  3. Humans' fault. I mean, nature can't pollute itself! The only way the Earth won't burn up in the next 500 years, is if everyone's convinced that Global Warming is real, and that in order to save billions and billions and billions of lives in the next 1,000 years [animals, insects, people], everyone has to take their part in cleaning up our environment.

  4. No, it is not too late to change the course of climate change.  What the total role of human activity in climate change has been is yet to be seen and cannot be completely assessed.

  5. I have to disagree with Smilelts. Not every scientist agrees this is human caused. Often it's the media who will air only the pro-human-caused voices of science. This is what the media does. They feed off the alarmist aspect of human nature. But there are just as many professionals that disagree. The Earth has gone through many climate changes in the past. It appears that the normal climate is quite tropical, and was for some 300 million years. To the extent that there are palm and fern fossils found in Antarctica. The alarm that we are loosing the ice at the North Pole has quieted some this past winter, because the ice sheet was normal this time. The media doesn't want to talk about that. Many of the west Canadian glaciers that were mapped in the 1850s were either gone or nearly gone by 1900. Again, this information is out there. It just takes a bit more effort to find.

  6. its too late, its our fault

in my opinion its not going to be global warming or nature that ruins earth..its us messing everything up

  7. It's us doing it all.  But I think that when we run out of oil that will be the end of us since we'll go tribal on everyone.

  8. Something to think about..

The CURRENT warming trend started tens of thousands of years before humans industrialized.  It's what melted the glaciers that used to cover so much of the northern hemisphere.

Anybody who claims humans caused global warming is either an idiot or a liar.  At worst, the argument is how much humanity has contributed to it.. and that's not very much.

  9. Humans ARE a part of Nature!  So, yes. Humans use of fossil fuels,is the cause for the dramatic increase in CO2 that is contributing to warming the Earth's climate.  It is not too late to do something about the causes of CO2 pollution.  Will a destroyed eco-system be good for the economy? Or will a policy to protect the Earth be bad for capitalism?  Why do we have to choose between saving the planet,or saving capitalism?

  10. It's not our fault, that's what the president says.  What problem?

  11. Every scientist agrees that it is human caused. Even George Bush admitted that humans are "contributing" which is as far as he can go without offending his oil people.

The earth will warm up even if we stop using fossil fuels today, but we can prevent it from warming to a point that will kill us. A change of several degrees (on average) will have severe impacts on everyone on this planet.

We really can't wait for our government to offer leadership. And a trip to your local mall will teach you that most people don't care or don't know any better-just look at all the Hummers. What you can do is first take some time to do a little research on the issue, and look for green tips on how to save energy (and money!!!) in your home, school, or workplace.

Each one of us is a problem, which means each one of us can be part of the solution.

One cool tip is to install those spirally looking energy saving lightbulbs-they're low watt and SUPER bright, they last FIVE years each bulb, and will chop your energy bill down pretty strongly.

It's also a total lie that saving our planet will cost us money. Going green, getting off the oil, will make more jobs and give us a future.

Google "carbon footprint" ---there are websites that will allow you to estimate how much CO2 you are contributing to global warming, and offer you tips on how to easily cut that number down!

And when you are faced with someone who claims this is a myth, be prepared to find out who pays them. An internal memo leaked from a major oil company stated the need to "reposition global warming as a THEORY rather than a fact" to keep up their profits!

There are massive amounts of proof. No matter what you think of Al Gore, check out An Inconvenient Truth, because it lays down the facts, gives the sources (the science), and shows some pretty straight forward stuff.

We are going to have to change the way we live, one way or another. Good luck!

  12. no it's not to late since it is not a real occurrence, but a man made hoax to make money off of scaring gullible people.

  13. it is never too late for the one who have cares for the environment! what the earth has experiencing now is due to human negligences. we shouldn't blame our wrong doings on nature!
