Is it too much to ask that Nascar Drivers respect the national anthem?

As a veteran, I am sick and tired of seeing a bunch of spolied millionaires (drivers) and their wives, that can't put their hand on their heart during the National Anthem. People die every day serving their country so these brats can race.

I just cross out every sponser's products when I witness punks like these.

A National disgrace, you make millions because someone died for your freedom, and you think your a hero....... PLEASSSSSSSSEEE!!!

  1. "Being someone who just wishes for world peace, I have to say that NASCAR races would still exist regardless of how many people go and kill each other in wars."

    ??????

Not gonna start any flames wars here, but that is a very naive statement,

There would never be a NASCAR in n**i Germany, Viet Nam, China, Fascist Italy, Korea, Pre WW ll Japan, Afganistan, Iraq, Iran, ???

    And,

I am as ANTI "lil w" as anyone

    2 Different issues,

The Flag, the Anthem, and our Vets deserve ALL the respect, they do NOT get !!!!

  2. God bless you for your service man, but your hand over your heart is for the Pledge of Allegiance. There is absolutely no protocol for placing your hand over your heart for the National Anthem.

  3. I know you are going to hate me for this, but going to wars and killing people has no relationship with NASCAR racing.

Being someone who just wishes for world peace, I have to say that NASCAR races would still exist regardless of how many people go and kill each other in wars.

...but yes, in every country people should respect the national anthem.

  4. i agree completly

  5. 999 channels and I just lost 5 channels.  1 which is Fox.  Can you believe this?   I think Lynn or Gloria put a hex on me.

  6. i agree i see alot of driver puting there hand over there heart like jeff burton, tony stewart, and dale jr for instance. i even think kyle bush does too. at least they remove their hats before the national anthem comes on. but how mnay fans do the same? not that many do

  7. I'm sorry that you felt that you had to create an account to voice your displeasure.  If you really are a veteran, I thank you for your service to our country.

My late brother was also a veteran.  He loved NASCAR, watched every race, and didn't give a rat's rear what the drivers did during the National Anthem.

    Enjoy the race.

  8. Well, You are not dealing with the intellect required for rocket science. You have moonshine carriers who handle cars well. As a veteran, you should be disgusted. Just consider the source. These turkeys aren't too smart. Write to those who sponsor racing and tell them how you feel. Get your buddies to do the same thing. Also contact the local newspaper which carries the results and ask them to publicize the slight.
