I want loadmaster, and I meet the requirements.

I know you have to put three jobs (?) then one open field. But, do you generally wait till you get the one job you want or do they only call you once telling you, "choice three is open, want it?" And if you say no, it drops the contract?

So like, here is my choices:

1 - Loadmaster

2 - Flight Engineer <----- (those three are really my three choices)

3 - Aeriel Gunner

4 - Open General (prolly not going to be open general, but just for example)

Then I want number one, but say number three opens first. Do I get only that one call for number three and thats it? Or do they call me for number three, I tell them I'll wait till number one opens up and two months later it opens and then they call me?

Just confused on that, any help would be very appreciated.

  1. I will tell you this, and you will hear it all through your career bro. "The needs of the Air Force".

If manning is sufficient in the Loadmaster career field then they won't accept any new airmen, then they will look at the manning for your second choice, and so on and so on.

You should know what job you get at the end of your 1 visit to the MEP station granted you didn't do like an idiot and go in OPEN GENERAL.

You'll be fine tho, those career fields you pick will be dope. Lots of people want to fly and cannot do it b/c they flunked the Class III physical, so pass that first.

  2. ahh so many things are incorrect in what your telling me. If this is your recruiter please go to a different one. My recruiter did pressure me to go into an open field, but never told me it was required. I decided not to. I also did choose 13 jobs that i wanted to go into. I only had to wait about 3 months and I got one of the jobs I wanted. It didn't change my contract when I took some jobs off and added some more a month in to my DEP contract. I would have loved Load master LOVED LOVED LOVED,but i want to go to school. And flying around a lot would probably be difficulty to complete school. Also about your other questions, when number 1,2,3,4. which ever opens first your recruiter will call you andcongratulationssyour shipping out (random date). Technically you can decline, and technically they can arrest you, but I doubt they would. Its best to just pick the jobs you want. Call your recruiter and tell him you want to drop a few of your jobs. You have to go in and get some papers signed. It can be done, ive done it, so get t done before you get a job you don't want! Good Luck!

Also i read what thatguy2 wrote. Yes the airforce needs, get your job needs before you get in after that your owned by the united states air force. Make sure you get the job you want!
