  1. Unfortunately, it's true.

    You have to go to the Court to separate, then you have to wait three years (in the past, it was five) This law was a compromise, the only way to eliminate the resistance of the catholic parties that struggle against divorce.

    Moreover,  if husband and wife do not agree to get the dovorce, you have tostart a trial, and it will takes another three-four years

  4. Three years is the the separation time necessary before you can apply to the court for the actual end of the marriage assuming that there is a mutual agreement to the divorce. Then you have to wait for the judge's decision - usually about a month, but it could be more. If the divorce is contested, it generally takes much longer.
