Is it true 2.50 firmware update? PS HOME?

i have been readin in a few sites that say 2.50 is going to have home and some are sayin this month the 16th open home bata is going to be this month is it true?

I doubt it being released this month, i have read that they are going to open a larger beta testing of PS3 home to players who spend a lot of time online and use the store more than others, as they want people who play online more to test the Home Beta. but that isn't being released until november this year.

No. The 2.5 beta will include life with playstation which will include something very similar to Nintendo's news channel, and the ability to record gameplay and then upload it directly to youtube or save it.
