Is it true American women go crazy over Australian accents?

You're in luck- use it to your advantage.

Why? It sounds British, and British accents have always been associated with old money, wealth, and upper class status over here. It's also unique and different from the vast majority of accents in America, especially since most of mainstream America has a very generic accent. (I can comment on this because I don't- I have a very strong Southern American accent)

it doesnt just sound british, it sounds better than british.

it is very true that north american women "go crazy over Austrailian accents" basically because we feel our accents to be so neutral  most accents are a huge turn-on. british and austrailian are favorites because the speaker is speaking in a language we can understand.

austrailian's are considered to be more laid back and easy going as compared to british which is very appealing.
