Is it true Dash 8 Q300 propellers melt?

It was said by guys who went to Flt. Safety Canada that the propellers melt.

I highly doubt that DeHavilland would use props that melt on their planes...

If the prop blades are composite (plastic), like some other high-performance turbo prop blades, then yes, they CAN melt, but not usually during normal service.
