I guess Clinton's voters are not as stupid as they thought.

Even after the VP pick Obama is still ahead 6 points on gallup.

  1. I would think that Obamas Convention, and his Europe trip would have blown mccain away. But no I wonder why?

  2. And you're asking us and not the McCain campaign - WHY?

    Do you own homework.

  3. is it true that Obama's campaign upset that he went down the days after the democrat convention?

  4. Yes, he let Rove call the shots and McCain lost.

  5. With troopergate and bambinogate going on, I wouldn't be surprised if she wound up getting dumped for being a distraction.

  6. McCains camp is upset that Palin didn't tell them that her 'all american family' was in crisis.  Now the GOP is stuck with their words promoting Palin has the epitome of the values of the american family vs the reality that her unmarried daughter is about to become a teenage mother.

  7. probably, McCain should be upset cause instead of going with a Warrior like Romney or a swing state pick like Charlie Crist or Tim Pawlenty he choose the unknown unqualified Sarah Palin and he is going to get burned just like Obama would have if he had chosen the qualified Kathleen Sebelius.

  8. Obama is supposed to get a double digit bounce from his convention.  Instead he is right where he was.  Sounds like McCain's pick worked wonderfully.

  9. Depends on which poll you look it.

Zogby says "Brash McCain pick of AK Gov. Palin neutralizes historic Obama speech, stunts the Dems' convention bounce"

The latest nationwide survey, begun Friday afternoon after the McCain announcement of Palin as running mate and completed mid-afternoon today, shows McCain/Palin at 47%, compared to 45% support for Obama/Biden.

In other words, the race is a dead heat.

The interactive online Zogby survey shows that both Obama and McCain have solidified the support among their own parties - Obama won 86% support of Democrats and McCain 89% of Republicans in a two-way head-to-head poll question not including the running mates. When Biden and Palin are added to the mix, Obama's Democratic support remains at 86%, while McCain's increases to 92%.

I think the news of Palins pregnant teenage daughter will strength her appeal because almost every family in America can identify with that happening.  Shows she is human and has the same problems you and I do.

  10. I honestly thought it would have an immediate tremendous effect on the polls myself ... I was quite wrong ... :) ...
