  1. Living an alcohol-free lifestyle, quite likely.   The same is probably true of Quakers and Salvationists.

  2. I am not a Adventist in the same sense !!!

I am in total agreement with the biblical admonitions to do God's right thing !!! And not man's ideas !!! The bible CAN be trusted !!!

  3. no

    longest livers are in Hunzaland..

  4. I think they follow a lot of the same practices as Jehovah's Witnesses, like not smoking, not getting drunk and avoiding sexual immorality.  All these things are likely to increase the average lifespan, so they probably live longer on average than the general population.

Certainly God designed the body, and if we all followed his direction then the average lifespan would be much greater!  The Bible gave laws about physical hygiene thousands of years before UK doctors learned to wash their hands inbetween patients, and it contains a lot of other medically-related guidance!

  5. I would not be surprised, because they are strict vegetarians who take care of their bodies.

  6. I have met a few Seventh Day Adventists who were over 100 years old.  The more amazing thing about them though is that these people still have their wits about them and can manage living fairly independently.

  7. No it just seems like it.......lol

  8. Seventh-day Adventists do live an approximately 7 years longer than the rest of the population.

It is true that approximately 50% of Adventists are vegetarians or vegans.  However, Adventists also observe other healthy lifestyle habits -- We do not smoke or use tobacco in any form, reducing the chances for lung cancer, mouth and throat cancers.  We do not drink; and although moderate wine intake may have some benefits, the health issues and risk associated with alcohol abuse are not insignificant.

As Christians, we also place our faith and trust in God, and believe in the power of prayer.  Scientific studies have shown that faith can be beneficial as well.

  9. I wouldn't be surprised if they do.  They believe in treating their bodies as temples.  They are very health conscious and probably do live longer than most people.

  10. No

  11. Well Esther... Before even watching this clip I knew that many of your seven day Adventist are vegetarians and vegans and I have heard it said that when autopsies were performed on seven day Adventist who were very old that their internal organs were like that of a teenager because of them staying away from meat... I'm not exactly sure how true it is nor do I have any sources to list or site. I personally as a Christian am not big on their beliefs . But respect them to believe as they choose... Hope this helped..God bless you !
