Is it true about a puppy's coat.?

My puppy is 14 weeks old. The breeder that i got him from said that he would lose all of this fur within 2-3 weeks, and would grow back adult fur. Is this true? She called it his "ugly" phase.

How long will this "ugly" phase last? I don't want my beautiful pom, being ugly for to long. Will his fur grow back extremely fast?

Its not going to fall off, it will start losing the baby puff and growing the adult fur. It wont be long but he wont be running around bald, and they are still cute though

it will shed its puppy coat but as that is happening new hair is growing in , your pup doesnt go bald or nothing like that it just loses its puppy "fuzz"

its not going to be bald. as his adult hair comes in, he'll shed his baby hair. you cant really see a diffrence

You probably wont even notice it the hair just starts to change from being that really sorft fluffy stuff to hair that is slightly coarser. As the puppy fur falls out adult hair replaces it so its not like he will go bald or anything its just like human hair when one falls out another replaces it. Dont be to worried
