  1. Sugar turns into fat, so lowering your sugar intake can help you cut the fat

  2. Not alone. It might lead to a small calorie deficit, but most people will eat something else to compensate.

  3. Anything that cuts calories out of your diet will help you lose weight. If you think about it, every time you drink a soda you're taking in about 150 calories or so. So if you decide to have a glass of water instead, that's 150 less calories that you've taken in.

You loose weight when you create a calorie deficit. Your body takes a certain amount of calories to maintain your current weight. You create a deficit, by eating less calories or burning more calories with exercise, and voila..weight loss!

Just don't replace those sugary drinks with something else that is unhealthy..like candy or chips!

  4. Cutting sugary drinks out of your diet can be an effective way to cut calories, and paired with healthy eating and exercise, can help you to lose weight.  A good way to think about excessively sugary drinks, especially soda, is that these are empty calories, doing nothing helpful for your body.  Water is always a great choice for beverages, as is tea if you keep the sugar intake down there.  Be careful with orange juice...depending on what kind you get, there may be more sugar than you think.  I have found that sweetening my tea with honey is helpful.  Avoid artificial sweeteners, as these can be detrimental to your body and it is best to avoid chemicals such as these.

  5. Yes it is true, sugary drink are awful and are a weight gainer.Water, natural juice and tea is an excellent healthy choice.

  6. Hi there,

Yeah, cutting out sugary drinks can help you lose weight for the simple fact that refined sugar has a bunch of calories but no nutritional value (meaning it doesn't help your body work its best).

Eliminating "empty" calories from sugary drinks and fast food will go a long way to improving your health and weight!

Drinking plenty of water will also improve your metabolism :)

    Cheers,

    BB
