Is that the proper thing to do if your boat has sprung a leak and the water seeps in and you want to drain the water out, so you put another hole elsewhere in the boat for the water to drain out. This is when you are out on the lake fishing.

  1. it would not be a smart thing to do

  2. No, it doesn't work. Don't try it!

  3. no do not do that.  get a bucket and bail the water out. what you are talking about is a drain that lets water out but not in,

  4. i agree with scuba bob...lmao...i have heard this though and it sounds gross, but i guess it would work...they say carry a tampon in your boat, if the hole is big enough, plug the hole with the tampon and it will swell up and seal the hole tight till u get to shore...

  5. Only if the part of the boat wich you knock the new hole in is on land, dude!

  6. does someone told you that it isnt true dude?

  7. yes it true.you have to put the hole a few inches above water level.then it will drain its self back out .if your taking on alot of water fast then make several holes. this just gives you a little more time to get to shore or for help to get to you.i thought i was going to have to do it to a  brand new mastercraft one time.luckily help came...

  8. Try this with an old plastic bowl.  Once there is a hole, the water keeps coming in.  With two holes, water comes in more quickly.

  9. only if you pump out the extra water pressure and drain the leak off the boat. Get on it, you got it, Fox.

  10. Nope. It will take in more water.  but there is device, actually a hole oriented at a certain angle, that drains water off the motor boat if it is running.

  11. No more water will seep in. Best to plug the hole and bail out the water

  12. Absolutely. But you have to make sure to put the second hole under the waterline so the water doesn't get bubbles in it.

    you ARE joking, aren't you?

  13. Actually it only works if you put 7 holes in the bottom and they HAVE to be in a semi circle toward the rear of the boat because thats usually the heaviest area

  14. Well, at first this sounds stupid and still could be,but, I think if you put a hole a little higher above the water level it may keep you from sinking. Wouldnt have thought of it but, could work, I guess. LOL

  15. It doesn't work that way, but let me know if you do try it. My company specializes in recovering small craft and salvage and I'm always up for a wreck dive, no matter the size of the vessel. :)

  16. ok no, as your boat takes on water the water level inside the boat is at the same height as outside. and, becaus eif you wanted to drain a boat of water the hole would have to be below the water level- in this case you would just end up taking on more water.

even if my answer is wrong, please dont try to find out for yourself.
