Is it true if you quit your job at the beginning of the month you are covered by your benefits for?

the rest of that month? I heard if you quit say, the 1st of the month, then you will be covered by your medical insurance still for that month? Just wondering if this was really true.

  1. It's your employer's option how long they cover you after you quit. You'll have to ask.


  2. Not exactly.

    It depends on how your plan is set up.  It's either, until the end of the month with the last day you worked, or, the last day you worked.

    Also, the month date doesn't have to run on the first - it can be the fifteenth, or whatever the inception date of the master policy is.
