Only if you plan to be a w***e. All legal prostitutes are required to submit to a HIV/Aids test periodically in order to work as a prostitute. Any free lance street walker arrested for prostitution will have mandatory testing to see if she/he is infected with the Aids Virus and possibly charged with attempted murder if positive. If you want to work as a prostitute in the state of Nevada you need to take an HIV test.  That's about as close I can come to figuring out how that story got started.
