  1. I guess so. It's terrible. North Korea is just a junk area that is trapping its own citizens in and keeping South Korea (real korea) half and from occupying the whole peninsula.

  2. Well yes and no.

Common people are not allowed to legally own cell phones. Foreigners on guided tours have to hand them over for the time of there stay.

Members of the North Korean government who are considered trust worthy are allow to own mobile phones.

There are 2 reason for this.

    a) To control the public.

    b) Technically North Korea and South Korea/USA are still at war. A friend of mine has visited North Korea and at the airport before he had to hand this phone over he could still pick up the South Korean network.

  3. Yes. Brutal and harsh, isn't it? It's the truth. I watched a documentary about a North Korean family trying to escape to China, go into Thailand, and surrender in Bangkok, so they could send them to South Korea.

    Very smart plan.

  4. im a south korean and i know you CAN use cellphones cause i visited there once with people using cell

  5. it wasn't ILLEGAL when i was there
