Is it true metro phones will not work if you go out of ton or out of the area you got the phone?

only if you know for sure though.. cuz theres been people sayin you cant talk on the phone in san fransico if you live in sacromento or something or out of state and my mom wont let m get one because of that so is there anyone that has had a metro or has one that went out of town and it stopped working or something please only answer from expeirience or a known expieriance not from what youve hear or rumors

MetroPCS' coverage area on a nationwide scale is quite limited compared to AT&T, Verizon, etc.  Depending on where you are/where you go a MetroPCS phone might not work.  Look at the coverage link I provided and see if the area you live in and the places you go to are covered.  If you leave a MetroPCS coverage area and roam onto other towers the phone might still work, but expect to pay something like 49 to 79 cents per minute!
