  1. they measure drunkeness by blood alcohol content...

    the bigger you are--

    the more blood you have--

so it takes more for big uns

  2. According to the DMV it takes 1 hour for the body to rid 1 alcohol drink!  So it really depends how much you drink compared with someone of a larger size!

California Home Study Driver Ed Course | DMV Handbook |

... you are convicted of driving with alcohol or drugs in your body, the judge may ... It takes about an hour for the body to get rid of each "drink. ...

Hope this helps !! Cheers !!

  3. It depends on how often you drink.  If the bigger guy doesn't drink that much and drinks two beers and gets drunk.  It just goes to show that tolerance is the key when it comes to alcohol.  But if there both drink as often, the bigger guy would more than likely take longer.

  4. yes. that is 100% true. bigger people have a bigger tolerance for alcohol.

  5. Factors affecting the BAC

The more a person drinks, the higher their BAC. However, two people who drink the same amount might register quite different BACs, due to the following factors:

    Body size

For the same amount of alcohol consumed, a smaller person will have a higher BAC than a larger person, because the alcohol is concentrated in a smaller body mass.

    Empty stomach

A person with an empty stomach will reach a higher BAC sooner than someone who has just eaten a meal. Food in the stomach slows down the rate at which alcohol passes into the bloodstream, but does not prevent intoxication.

    Body fat

People with a lot of body fat tend to have higher BAC. Alcohol is not absorbed into fatty tissue, so the alcohol is concentrated in a smaller body mass.

    Being female

If a man and a woman drink exactly the same amount of alcohol, the woman will almost always have a higher blood alcohol concentration (BAC). A woman’s body contains more fatty tissue and less water (and lean tissue) than a man’s body and women are often smaller than men. As a result, the alcohol will be more concentrated in a woman’s body, producing a higher BAC.

    Being young

Younger, less experienced drinkers have a lower tolerance to alcohol and so their BAC is likely to rise more quickly than older drinkers.

  6. yeah i think so.

  7. NO, I mean not completely.  What will make you more drunk is how much food you consumed (or didn't consume) before you began to drink.  A tiny 95lb girl who had a big dinner at 5pm and started drinking at 7 could out drink a big fat man if the fat man hadn't had anything to eat all day.  Food consumption is huge factor when it comes to tolerance.  So if you want to be safe, eat before you party.  And for the guy below me, that is NOT how blood alcohol level works.  Big people don't have "more" blood.  Come on people.  Don't make stuff up
