That all ovulation tests will show positive when your pregnant?

  2. Ovulation tests detect ovulation, pregnancy test detect pregnancy hormones, you can get a false negative if you test too early and very very occasionally a false positive.

    Ovulation tests check for the LH hormone while pregnancy tests check for the hCG pregnancy hormone. Different hormones different results.

  4. Yes. OPKs detect LH. HPTs detect hcg. However, hcg and LH are very similar hormones and OPKs will detect hcg as well as LH.

  5. Don't rely on ovulation tests, they told me I was never ovulating even when I got pregnant! Waste of money in my experience. Buy a basal body temperature thermometer they are really accurate and tell you as soon as you ovulate. A h**l of a lot cheaper aswell!
