is it true that quaker parrots that are green and yellow are rare? not like this http://www.flickr.com/photos/irishnyc/2423533903/ but actullay has yellow spots on it back? they dont have any pics in the internet but i saw one at the pet store and was curious

  1. There are color mutations of blue and yellow (called "lutino"). You probably won't see them in the wild because breeders did it, not mother nature. They're more expensive because most breeders produce the regular "green".


  2. If the birds have the spots on their back or pretty much anywhere it could also be fatty liver disease.  It causes different colored feather than the normal colors.

  3. Quakers are naturally green.  Yellow is one of the color mutations together with pieds, pearls, yellow-face cinnamons, dark-eyed and red-eyed cinnamons and cinnamon blues.  Not all mutations are common as pets.

  4. Yellow and Green birds. Never seen green then it has to be rare.
