  1. Yes

  2. Knowing that the lower staff are keen to get tips from every one educated patients  become sensitive

  3. I think it depends on the work load to some extent. Those who are extremely busy are liable to be brusquer than those who aren´t and then again doctors in a private system depend on referrals for more patients so that they have a vested interest in being nice to people, except of course for the really top specialists who can get away with anything.

  4. it's not true of course

it's just because educated people and good professionals understand the need of the politeness more than lower staff

  5. no...never

  6. I don't really think so. From what I have seen most of the time it is quite the opposite. I think sensitiveness is just a part of who you are and you would be like that no matter what you level of education you have.If someone is a people person they often choose get jobs that are involving people They are  naturally nice to people

  7. Medical personnel {MDs, RNs, etc, usually down to the PBX operator} have been trained to be sensitive. If the lower-level staff are being rude or insensitive, it is simply a matter of them not being trained - the folks who run the hospital need to know that this is an area they need to work on - please let them know, and please don't rely on MD or nurse to pass the word on...they have plenty to do already.
