Is it true spiders read web pages from top to bottom?

I often work my source code so once the body tag starts, relevant content is as close to the "top" as possible (regardless of where it actually shows up visually). Any opinions?

Yes, my pet tarantula does it and i saw a 2 hour special on Discovery Channel all about it.

They do read it from start of code to bottom of code, however it doesn't make any difference once the data it has collected is compiled.
