Is it true than Canadian men are wholesome in general (kinder and more polite)?

I wouldn't say wholesome. Men are men, and they are no more innocent than any other men, on the whole.

Canadians, in general, though, seem a bit less aggressive than the Americans, and that might seem like it is wholesome.

I'm not sure how to answer this.  Perhaps we're kinda low-key as a nation, but on a case-by-case basis, I doubt you'd find much of a difference from American men.

With a current population  of about 32 million people in Canada, it is way too much of a generalisation to use such a term.

What does wholesome mean to you, exactly ?

Remember that our population is not one culture or ethnic group, and we have many people here , now, who were not born in Canada, who brought  their own ways of thinking and behaving, with them.

In general, the stereotype of the "canadian male " is a person who is easy going and relaxed, and hard working. A person who is able to make jokes about himself and who is fair and kind. Slow to anger but quick to apologise if he is proved wrong. Polite and willing to let others  "be themselves " and not try to force his ideas on them.

Obviously, this is a composite character sketch , not any one person.

um i wouldn't say wholesome. I would say maybe more relaxed and laid back. but we have our share of jerks up here too haha.

Gee that's kind of nice to hear but  as a Canadian it never crossed my mind.  Maybe when we travel we're on our best behavior other than that I sure don't know.

Some are the older ones. I find them to be more like men in the us before the 1970.

I woiuld like to add, that imo they are far more sexual than we are in the US. Very. overtly. You see x movies places and adds for escorts and s*x shops all over. Even more in the cities than you would ever see in NYC or LA. that one shocked me
