Is it true that America is built on a tilt?

So that everything loose slides to California?

No, it's not true, but we do have "The Continental Divide" (Part of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado).   All water that falls on the East side ends up in the Atlantic Ocean, all water falling on the west side goes to the Pacific Ocean.  

But I can guarantee you that something in Illinois is NOT going to slide to California - cuz it would have to cross the Rocky Mountains (14,000 ft +).  So the idea that the whole country is slanted is just silly.

I lost my car the other day in Boston - forgot to put on the emergency break!    Got a call from Oakland, CA PD...  they got it down by the bay...
