  1. Matthew R- I agree completely. I hear too many people declaring all communism as evil when in theory, it seems a pretty good idea. Utopian, almost. Only when human corruption is added into the equation does it take a negative turn.

  2. The founding fathers of the USA considered many types of governments.

They did not chose a democracy, they chose a republic.

The USA is NOT a democracy.

  3. I am not a historian, but I don't believe that communism existed before Karl Marx, who basically invented communism.  He lived around 1820.  I find it highly unlikely the United States thought about something that hadn't been invented yet.

Communism can actually be a good government...............in theory.  Karl Marx thought that a society would be a better place if everyone made the same amount of money, everyone worked a 34 hour work week, and we all had society take care of us.

He thought human beings would be happier this way.  And it sounds good, it really does.

Marx forgot one key ingredient in his equation: Human drive and determination.  Sometimes people want to work more, earn more, and deservedly so.  They want nicer things, so they go out an invent a new product, which they can sell to make more money.

    Thus, capitalism was born.

  4. America came to be in 1776.  Communism was conceived in the 1800's (Communist Manifesto was published in 1848) -- so no.
