Is it true that Apple Cider Vinager, honey and water together?

will help a person lose weight. This lady told me that the pounds just melt of when you drink apple cider vinager. If so how much do you drink and how much do you put in water. Thanks everyone for your input.

  1. It is contraversial , However you surely could try having a salad with Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey dressing if you wish and see if it is helpful.

    about 2 TBS of each will do, you can adjust to your taste.

  3. The typical dosage for apple cider vinegar for weght loss is about 2 teaspoons in about 250ml of water..... i.e. a regular glass or cup. Drink before meals.

    It might help with weight loss and its worth a try but it really needs to be tried as part of a calorie-controlled diet....ie. watch the calories too.

    You do not need the addition of honey. Apple cider vinegar (ACV) and honey in water is usually taken for something else....for arthritis. You can even buy something called Honeygar in the UK, which is ACV with honey and you add that to water. Its taken for arthritic conditions.

    Assuming you are not on thyroid medication it might be a good idea to take sea kelp tablets with the ACV and water. Take 1 three times a day and the ACV three times a day....i.e. before main meals. Just do not take the sea kelp if you have a thyroid condition. Consult a doctor first if in doubt.

  4. ACV is not a panacea.  I've heard it can help/cure everything from weight loss to cancer.  It supposedly helps the body burn fat more efficiently.  I don't really think its true.

    Don't waste time looking for the "holy grail" of weight loss, but rather do what is tried and true!  Eat fewer calories than you burn in a day, exercise, drink lots of water and eat real, whole, unprocessed foods!
