  1. nope, they get 2 for 1

  2. No. I don't really drink beer but here in my state it's very rare to see anyone drinking Foster's. The drinking water's fine. Saw something recently which showed that the water here is much better than many other so-called advanced countries.

  3. They drink Foster's because it puts hair on your chest.

  4. In OZ they don't even drink Fosters

  5. The drinking water in Australia is quite good. Most Aussies drink Foster because they can't get Castlemaine XXXX.

  6. Aussies dont really drink much Fosters.  They export it.  They drink KB, Tooths, Castlemain XXXX for a few examples

  7. what is water?

  8. Hardly any Australian's drink Fosters. In fact you usually can't even buy it from your local bottle shop.

We export it because most people here think it's cr*p.

As for the guy above me - KB?? Tooths?? I am Australian and have never heard of these so they can't be too popular!! Australia's top beers are Tooheys, XXXX and VB

  9. No, it's because American beer is so bad. They call it cow p**s.

  10. Ridiculous!  We do live in a modern, first world country.  Of course we prefer Aussie beer to U.S. beer.  As John Cleese said, "Drinking American beer is like making out in a canoe...close to the water."

  11. um...no.

  12. In truth, Fosters is hardly consumed in Australia (well, not in my state, Victoria, anyway) and is considered our export beer.

Many say that Fosters isn't Australian for beer, it's Australian for 'horse p**s'... that's why we send it overseas. The other Fosters products are okay, but the one with the blue F label isn't very popular here. VB is probably the best-known of the range.

In terms of water quality, Australia ranks quite highly on the world scale. Melbourne's water, in particular, is ranked up there with Sweden in terms of flavour and clarity! Other cities have their issues: Sydney had an disease outbreak a few years back, and it's often hard to make soap bubbles in Adelaide because of the hardness of their water, but overall, the quality of the stuff coming out of our taps is great, and very well-managed!

One of our best beers, Cascade, is only made in Tasmania because of the purity of the water there (although, the brewery now comes under the Fosters banner)! Don't forget that the water used in beer comes from here, so if you like our beer, it's partially thanks to our awesome water!

(And I think Ron G means VB and Tooheys...XXXX or Four X is a Queensland beer, and really only popular up there...)
