  1. For a man yes.

    For a woman no.

  2. I've heard that, too.  I just look at it as an *exchange* of sexual energy.  But if you love your partner and are close in all areas (mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, etc), then it can become a spiritual experience, which would be Tantra.

  3. It is an interesting subject. A man will not lose chi during sexual intercourse only if they preserve their vital fluid. If they can prevent the loss of their vital fluid, and they reabsorb it into their system, chi will not degenerate.

A woman, however, does not need to worry about restraint it seems, and will gain some of the man's chi if he does not guard himself well.

s*x is a dangerous thing for those seeking to empower themselves, especially through martial arts or other spiritual arts. It is a double-edged sword. More often than not, you do lose chi because the chi is the life breath. What do you do when you're having an o****m? You are expelling that life-breath onto the person you're having s*x with, or in the case of solo ops you are expelling it into the ethers where numerous disembodied entities consume that energy and use it to strengthen themselves.

On the subject of tantra, one should be very careful. If tantra is approached with any sort of longing or burning craving, there will be a loss of vital energy, not a gain. If any corruption of natural order is performed during tantra, there will be a loss. Tantra is not for personal pleasure but is for the upliftment of the spiritual and physical self. Note that most tantrics of ancient times were celibate.

  4. Let's establish some objective evidence for CHI first before we worry about losing it.
