  1. yea well whip a diver so all his scars will show....

obviously not but they get quite a earful of verbal abuse to an extent if they dont win

  2. That is done in the Middle East.

  3. No, I don't think that's true. However, they will be verbally abused if they fail to win Gold if they're expected to win Gold.

  4. i heard they get shunned by the town there living in but never of that harshness, then the new Olympics roll in and theres new athletes

  5. Will laugh it out loud.  I think it is not a torture chamber.  They all have smiling faces.

  6. Everyone else in the country is working 72 hour workweeks for about  $10 per week.  Isn't that motivation enough?

  7. No. If they don't place, unless they are really clever, they basically fade into obscurity and are never heard of again. Just like in the US!

Some athletes are clever and do a whole bunch of endorsements beforehand so they have quite a bit of money. Like Guo Jingjing!

  8. Yes lets whip a athlete with a shotput in their hands, of course we will not get hurt

  9. i hate them

  10. If you are asking about gymnastics then no China does not torture the american team the main reason why America lost is because  Alicia Sacramone Falls off the beam.

In Swimming when it is freestyle the Chinese do whip but ill say that i think the girls won by like 30 points to austraila the mexio.

In the mens 3m michel phelps beat the record on I think every one he participated in.

  11. Don't know about that but Chinese coaches don't get paid unless they win a GOLD medal.

  12. I would believe that with the human rights they have there

  13. it depends on who the trainer is

  14. That is not true at all.

  15. Get a brain before you ask. I mean if you think it is ridiculous, then why bother to ask?

  16. sure, why not.

  17. i've heard that but i really dunno!

  18. yes, thats how chinese culture rolls, in the olden days.

nowadays..they just get spazzed if they dont get gold

  19. I don't know, but I couldn't help but notice how bruised they are in comparison to others.  The pressure they feel in representation of their mother land is unlike any I've seen before.  It's definitely not about the individual (straight out of the athletes mouth).

  20. No and I bet they aren't subject to trial by media and public like the poor girl that fell off the beam yesterday.

  21. no

  22. haha no

  23. That is not true.

They take them to a rice paddy and shoot them...............

  24. uhhhhh no but that could b true, but one thing for sure is that they make them work really hard

  25. No.  It's just another ridiculous blind stereotype, like the stereotype of how all Americans are ugly and arrogant fat couch potatoes.  Obviously none of it is true.
