  1. Yes-- about all they can legislate is "light bulbs"--- they have not passed any comprehensive energy bills that actually address our energy crisis.

  2. I can't do better than the guy above!

"congess exceeds its authority on a regular basis, the problem is that we the people let them. we dont challenge laws passed by congress and signed by the president, we dont tell our congressmen to quit pushing us towards socialism, we dont vote the people into office that should be there, and we keep voting for incumbents who keep s******g things up. remember that something like 90% of all congressmen are lawyers, and really dont represent the nation at large. they are there to fill there pockets by emptying ours.

my advice is the next time a congressional candidate talks about "going green" dont vote for them. tell them that this green c**p is just that, c**p. tell them you want them to get out of the way of business and stop trying to rule the country."

    Second that one!

  3. I don't remember reading anywhere in the Constitution that they have such authority.  But, that's never stopped Congress before.  Why should it be any different now?

  5. They do seem to be phasing out incandescent bulbs

  6. This is how Politicians become multi-millionaires for these kinds of decisions

  7. They have the authority to do what ever we allow them to do. We have given them so much power and too many of us don't vote or even know who our representatives are.

If you don't speak out, you have no room to complain. It is each of our personal responsibility to take action.
