Is it true that German descendants live on Honduran Islands?

I heard from a American man who was married to a hispanic woman that during his wife's trip to Honduras, she visited an island where there was a majority of black people with blue eyes. He said they were descendants of black people mixing with german settlers

that's impossible. black people cant have blue eyes.

All the Europeon Imperialistic countries, Britain, France, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, and a few others, established colonies in South and Central America. Whether any mixed race person can trace their heritage from slavery is problematic. German domination is frequent trhoughout history of South America, and especially prominent in Mexico.

Eye color is by genetic heritage, and seems to be a dominant trait, so an African seeming person, can have any color eyes.
