  1. I heard that.  I also know she's anti-g*y and anti-choice and has no experience in foreign policy.

  2. She supports it, but she didnt "force" it per say, but she did say she would appoint members of the ABE based on their opinions on evolution, creationism, and religion(Which is unconstitutional)

ROFL @ Pastor A! I dont know if he's serious or joking!

    Its funny either way.

ROFL @ Lorenzo! He says shes "Flawless" even though she admits to smoking pot, but is against legalization. I say hypocrisy is a bit of a flaw...

  3. I haven't heard that. I don't know much about her yet. If evolution is taught, why not creation??

  4. Wouldn't be surprised if it was true

    This VP is crazy.

    Extremely pro-life,pro-gun,and pro-creationism in schools

He obviously picked her because she was a woman. She has roughly the same experience as Obama, and the McCain supporters are not willing to admit their own hypocrisy

@ See Dee,that's because public schools are funded with everyone's tax dollars. If people wanted to learn Creationism, they can learn it in private schools or in Bible schools. Not in secular public schools

  5. If she did she is what America needs. I now know where my vote is going.

  6. you mean like the way the rest of the country forces evolution to be taught????

I don't know, but I hope she did, that would be balance and fairness and I am all for that.

  7. "forced" - oh my God... no, nooooo

    Not Creationism.

    Seriously...

She can't do that on her own anyway (did you miss Civics class?)

Regardless of what you believe personally, don't you believe in balanced education? Evolution is a flawed theory, and we teach it so students are informed, shouldn't we teach opposing points of view?

No one is going to die from hearing Creationism... let kids learn, be informed.

  8. Yes, she is such a dirty s**t.

She is a right wing nut-job, but I heard the crazy ones like to get freaky.

Doesn't interest me in a d********x role though...

  9. That s***k is one crazy fundie!

  10. I believe she's only pushed forth one real piece of legislation regarding an oil pipeline, nothing about education. But, her stance is that she wants creationism to replace science.

  11. dunno  but  HIllary CLinton severly ridiculed people who do not believe in evolution to her shame in a New York TImes interview

  12. That is a lie. She did not have the authority to do so.

I which she did so the students would at least hear about both sides and not be brain washed about Evolution.

  13. Nope.  She didn't even say that evolution should NOT be taught in schools.  Liberals are grasping at straws to discredit a flawless candidate.

  14. She said she was in favor of teaching creationism, along side evolution. She didn't "force" it to happen.

Anyway, the issue here, is that creationism is not science. Science deals with the natural world, and creator gods are supernatural, as (most) theists will claim their creator god exists outside of the natural world. They are incompatible.

A natural process, that changes gene pools over time, is well within science's defintion.

I have no issue with teaching creation stories in, say, a comparative religions class, where creation stories from many world religions are presented. But it isn't science.

  15. I don't know about that, but she feels there is a place for it in pubic debate.  (Code for nut job) .  She also tried, unsuccessfully to censor the pubic library in the small town where she was Mayor.

Let's face it she is a bible thumper, and has very little respect for the Constitution.  Censor a pubic library!! Come on.

  16. No, that is not true.

  17. No.

But some libraries need to be censored to protect children from evil librarians who want to recruit our children in to homosexuality, lesbianism or other perversions.

I've seen the library on my town do this, try to recruit little girls into lesbianism with a display about L*****n books on the level of the 5 to 8 year olds.

Evolution is junk science, its really the religion of Darwinism.

  18. I doubt the governor of any state has that sort of authority over the school systems which are almost uniformly locally (city & county level) administered.

The premise of this Q is wildly improbable. Had she so much as voiced an idea like this, I feel sure the liberal press would be all over her now, especially as she has accepted the VP selection.

Where in the world did you first see this allegation?

  19. I hope so!

  20. god that woman is ridiculously conservative.

  21. no, it's not true.  however, she does support the idea of teaching the "creationism" myth along side science in public school science classes.

i want to thank John McBush for picking Sarah Palin for his running mate.  he just made Obama's life a whole lot easier.  silly McBush was hoping to attract disgruntled Hillary supporters to his camp but all he ended up doing was insult their intelligence.  he did please the Fundy Christian extremists tho..

  22. I'm Goggling, but so far haven't found any evidence of that. I think we would have heard about it before, like with Florida.

  23. I have not seen any articles to that effect.  She does support creationism but appears to in the "teach the controversy" crowd.

  24. No. Sorry, copy/pasting, link in source:

"She added that, if elected, she would not push the state Board of Education to add such creation-based alternatives to the state’s required curriculum.

"Members of the state school board, which sets minimum requirements, are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Legislature.

"'I won’t have religion as a litmus test, or anybody’s personal opinion on evolution or creationism,' Palin said."

(EDIT: Also, evolution is science, people. If you're teaching evolution, you're teaching science; teaching science, you've gotta teach evolution.)
